An august day in Christchurch

With Sun shining as brightly as ever, out came the English men and the Kiwi openers, while broad takes up the honors to start the proceedings for England, Jeet Raval was on strike for the Kiwis.
The next two balls are something which England has dreamed about all night and lived it the next day on the field.

Broad dismisses Raval and the captain dependable Willamson in consecutive balls and announces their arrival. Kiwis lost 6 wickets in the span of 120 runs, raising the hopes of the English men. The rearguard of Kiwis started then, de Grandhomme and Sodhi were the warriors.

English men tried everything in their control to break the partnership but only succeed in bowling out their overs without any success. After a resolute knock from Grandhomme, he finally succumbs to the short ball ploy from Mark Wood.

Then walks the dynamic Wagner to the crease, least did anyone expect what he has within himself with a bat in his hand. Known for his energetic bowling, Wagner shows his flair with the bat. The situation in which Sodhi and Wagner were put in is no less than a war waged with the latest ammunition being with the opponents.

With a maximum of 98 overs to be bowled in the day the English men got more than that to bowl as the Sun god helped their cause. With having an absolute chance to bowl out the Kiwis; the two Kiwi bowlers faced more than 30 overs with the bat to make sure that series isn't shared.

Sodhi kept on taking the blows and still didn't give up. Wagner played 103 balls to score 7 runs. England tried all the latest ammunition but only could break the kiwi shackles at the end of the day when the gates were closed to reach the trophy.

What an amazing test match it was, excitement all through the 5 days and match approaching the final hour of the test with the possibility of both the results is itself an achievement. England has only themselves to blame, while Kiwis are proud of their effort, they have literally written a testament for the rearguard.

Mini Scoreboard:
Ish Sodhi: 56*, Latham:83, de Grandhomme: 45, and Wagner: 7
Broad: 2/72 and Wood: 2/45
England:307/10, 352/9 and Newzealand: 278/10, 256/8

Kiwis created a history by winning a test series against England after 19 years and England Continue their bruised away test tours.

Substantial Delhi Daredevils

The team which has seen a lot of ups and downs in terms of their core stability is Delhi Daredevils. With the likes of Sehwag, Gambhir, Nehra, and Mishra, Delhi started off their campaign in 2008 as one of the favorites to win the championship. However, they just fell short of a couple of steps to clinch the title.

To further strengthen the things next year, Delhi signs in Dirk Nannes the quicky from Australia. Under the leadership of Gambhir DD topped the table and yet again dropped short of their maiden championship title.

From 2010 until 2017, Delhi has faced a lot of criticism for not performing up to their standards. Reaching playoffs only once in a span of 8 years is a record that needs to be flushed down the gutter. 2012, was one of their successful seasons among the last eight, thanks to the likes of Kevin Pietersen, Mahela Jayawardena, and Ross Taylor.

With Delhi having a capricious core, it was all up to the management to establish a steady and a solid core; and they have …
