Concealed prospect for Mumbai Indians

CSK won the opener against MI by just one wicket, thanks to the splendid innings by Bravo who smashed the MI bowlers to all corners of the ground by scoring 68 runs off 30 balls, marking the return of the kings in style after serving a ban for two years.

A 20-year-old youngster stole the show in the same match with his unplayable leg-breaks and the wrong un's thereby finishing with 3/23. This is the best figures by a debutant for MI seconded only to Lasith Malinga's 3/15 against the same opposition in 2009.

Who expected this young lad to take the game against SRH till the last over? While everyone expected the chase to be a cakewalk for SRH in their own backyard, this young lad took four vital wickets bringing back MI into the game.

If you are a follower of IPL, you would have known by now, who this bloke is. If not, his name is Mayank Markande.
Guarding MI with his purple cap, the cricketing world was held captive by Mayank's performance in the last couple of matches

But, Who exactly is this Mayank Markande?

This 20- year old hails from Punjab and was a part of the U19 CWC squad for India in 2016.

He made his domestic circuit debut in this season, 2017-18 by featuring in Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy and the recently concluded Vijay Hazare trophy. Hailing from Bathinda, Punjab this young star has always idolized the spin wizard, Shane Warne.

Starting off his career as a pacer, he used to bowl back of the hand slower delivery in an eccentric style with great effect. Therefore, his coach convinced him to switch towards leg-spin as googly is also bowled in the same manner.

He was bought for a base price of 20 lakhs in the IPL auctions.

The youngster mentioned that he has received over "37 missed calls and 300 messages" on the day of the auction after he switched on his mobile as he was busy playing a game for Punjab.

Moreover, he wasn't able to exult the moment until Rahul Sanghvi, the manager of MI spoke to him over the phone to share this news.

Even after being picked up in the squad he was not convinced that he is going to feature in any of the matches, but he was glad to be associated with such a prime franchise and also believed that this would enable to him to build his exposure.

With his two breath-taking performances, Mayank has a greater prospect of making into the senior team as the demand for the leg/wrist spinners in overseas conditions is growing.

MI still has a long way to go in the league stage of IPL, but it will be interesting to see his approach towards the batsmen in the shortest format of the game as he is a known entity now at the big stage.

Cricket Probe wishes him all the luck to shine brighter than he actually is.

Dhamaka in Delhi

Well well, if you have missed out tonight's encounter between Delhi and Hyderabad, then you have certainly missed out on some serious run feast. Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Delhi has lost couple of early wickets as Sunrisers were again spot on with their line and lengths.

However, their misery wasn't amplified as Pant took up the responsibility and annihilated the Sunrisers bowlers to every nook and corner of the park. Very seldom you find a guy like Maxwell being veiled by his partner's innings; it was the case today when Pant has out shadowed every one until something unprecedented incident took place.

Scoring his maiden century, Pant has smashed all the bowlers of SRH; known for their bowling SRH has turned the tide and chased down 188 like a boss.

At the end of first innings, it certainly looked like an uphill task for the Sunrisers. But what we have witnessed was just scintillating. SRH batsmen were all over the DD bowlers and never let the required r…

It was about 17:10 in the office and I was working on my PC to meet deadlines. A message popped up from a famous cricket app "Breaking News: AB de Villiers retires from International cricket" Heart missed a beat. A shocker, the man who was expected to play his last International World cup next year has left the cricketing circle. He puzzled the whole fraternity with this announcement.
Who is Ab de Villiers? He is a man known for modesty and simplicity. Did I just say a man? Nope, he is the superman of the Cricketing world. Loved all over the world irrespective of nation, this guy has taken the sport to next level and provided the fans an umpty number of memories to cherish.
No one expected this from him, Did the heartbreak in the Indian Premier League made him take this decision?  He mentioned that "he wants to play all three formats or nothing".
He also mentioned yesterday morning that how RCB is planning to win the cup next Year. What happened all of a sudden i…
