Return of International Cricket to Pakistan

Following the attack on Srilankan cricketers in 2009, international cricket was completely banned in Pakistan due to security reasons. However, Zimbabwe was the first test playing nation to break the shackles and tour to Pakistan in 2015.

With almost three years of drought in Pakistan due to the lack of any international cricket. The dearth finally seemed to have subsided with Windies touring Pakistan for a three T20I's. April 1st was the day and the National Stadium of Karachi was the host, and what we witnessed during the first T20I was something every Pakistani dreamt off from past 8 years.

Windies won the toss and elected to bowl first, the Pakistani openers have given them a great start, but however, they failed to convert their starts to some big scores even though the windes bowling seemed to have lacked the temperament and the impetus.

With both the openers being back in the hut in the 8th over, Hussain Talat and the captain Sarfraz Ahmed took the responsibility on their shoulders and stitched up a partnership of 75 for the third wicket scoring at a brisk pace. With the help of Shoaib Malik's and Faheem Ashraf's late flourish, Pakistan bolstered their position by scoring 203.

When Windies came out to bat, they never got going, losing 5 wickets under 30 runs within 7 overs while chasing a mammoth target of 204 didn't help their cause. With only three double-digit scores, Windies gave it all away. Amir and Nawaz were spot on with their lengths making sure that Windies never came back into the match.

With Pakistan sinking the Windies ship for a mediocre 60 runs, should have lifted their confidence and morale. While on the other hand Windies would like to get through this as quickly as possible in a span of a day as they face off again in 24 hours.

Mini Scoreboard:
Pakistan:
Talat: 41, Zaman: 39, and Malik: 37
Keemo Paul: 1/26

West Indies:
Samuels: 18 and Paul: 10
Mohammad Amir: 2/3

Will Windies change their course and get their heading right to navigate towards victory? or Will Pakistani army sink windies navigation course and clinch the series. Stay tuned.

En-route English Soil

The only country where he hasn't sparked up to his potential, the only nation where he likes to quench his thirst for runs, the only place where Indian fans would love to see him score big is England and our captain Kohli is all set to begin his county stint with Surrey.

With this news rolling out in the social media many of his fans are gearing up to witness their hero in the county colors. Surrey not only managed to bag the big brand Virat for a month they managed to get him for a nominal value.

Dhamaka in Delhi

Well well, if you have missed out tonight's encounter between Delhi and Hyderabad, then you have certainly missed out on some serious run feast. Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Delhi has lost couple of early wickets as Sunrisers were again spot on with their line and lengths.

However, their misery wasn't amplified as Pant took up the responsibility and annihilated the Sunrisers bowlers to every nook and corner of the park. Very seldom you find a guy like Maxwell being veiled by his partner's innings; it was the case today when Pant has out shadowed every one until something unprecedented incident took place.

Scoring his maiden century, Pant has smashed all the bowlers of SRH; known for their bowling SRH has turned the tide and chased down 188 like a boss.

At the end of first innings, it certainly looked like an uphill task for the Sunrisers. But what we have witnessed was just scintillating. SRH batsmen were all over the DD bowlers and never let the required r…
