It was about 17:10 in the office and I was working on my PC to meet deadlines. A message popped up from a famous cricket app "Breaking News: AB de Villiers retires from International cricket" Heart missed a beat. A shocker, the man who was expected to play his last International World cup next year has left the cricketing circle. He puzzled the whole fraternity with this announcement.
Who is Ab de Villiers? He is a man known for modesty and simplicity. Did I just say a man? Nope, he is the superman of the Cricketing world. Loved all over the world irrespective of nation, this guy has taken the sport to next level and provided the fans an umpty number of memories to cherish.
No one expected this from him, Did the heartbreak in the Indian Premier League made him take this decision?  He mentioned that "he wants to play all three formats or nothing".
He also mentioned yesterday morning that how RCB is planning to win the cup next Year. What happened all of a sudden i…

Dhamaka in Delhi

Well well, if you have missed out tonight's encounter between Delhi and Hyderabad, then you have certainly missed out on some serious run feast. Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Delhi has lost couple of early wickets as Sunrisers were again spot on with their line and lengths.

However, their misery wasn't amplified as Pant took up the responsibility and annihilated the Sunrisers bowlers to every nook and corner of the park. Very seldom you find a guy like Maxwell being veiled by his partner's innings; it was the case today when Pant has out shadowed every one until something unprecedented incident took place.

Scoring his maiden century, Pant has smashed all the bowlers of SRH; known for their bowling SRH has turned the tide and chased down 188 like a boss.

At the end of first innings, it certainly looked like an uphill task for the Sunrisers. But what we have witnessed was just scintillating. SRH batsmen were all over the DD bowlers and never let the required r…

En-route English Soil

The only country where he hasn't sparked up to his potential, the only nation where he likes to quench his thirst for runs, the only place where Indian fans would love to see him score big is England and our captain Kohli is all set to begin his county stint with Surrey.

With this news rolling out in the social media many of his fans are gearing up to witness their hero in the county colors. Surrey not only managed to bag the big brand Virat for a month they managed to get him for a nominal value.

While BCCI is skeptical about Surrey managing Virat's image, they agreed to keep the promotions at minimum and focus more on cricket.

Indian skipper will feature in at least six matches starting from June 1st. Both Virat and Alec Stewart (Surrey's director of cricket) expressed their happiness.

Virat says "It has long been an ambition of mine to play county cricket and I am thankful to Alec Stewart and Surrey for allowing me the opportunity to join them during their 2018 se…

Rise of the phoenix

We all know this man for 14 years now, and he never failed to impress us throughout this tenure. There were many ups and downs in his career, but he never let that decide his future. When this guy is at the crease there is always a belief in the fans that they are going to prevail.

This guy has been the intensity, strength, and benefactor of the Indian blues for more than a decade now and it seems that he will be for quite more years.

He took the cricketing world by storm and sustained it through his tenure, well, he is not yet retired; but he seemed to have lost his Midas touch lately. Hang on- the Chennai Super Kings are back in the IPL and so does this vintage Mahi mania.

Yes, we are talking about our own ex-Captain of the Indian blues and the present leader of the kings in Yellow- Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

MS Dhoni, the name is enough for the bowlers to step back; however, he was not at his best in the last couple of years. Known for his finishing skills and leadership qualities MS D…
